Trichs look ready, buds do not

  1. So one of my ladies is averaging at about 75% cloudy, 15% amber, and maybe 10% clear(hardly any clear trichs). Problem is, the buds haven't fattened up yet to where I'd like them to. We're due for another set of sunny days and 80 degree weather here. My question is do I chop according to the trichs(I dont want her to get super amber cuz I'm looking more for a sativa high with this one), or do I wait til she plumps up a bit more? Thanks.

  2. cool thanks man I think I'll wait it out a little longer. As difficult as that will be haha

  3. I have the same issue here in So Cal. This thread answered my question about my own plant which has over 50% amber trichomes but the buds dont look ready. I'll wait a couple of weeks or so.

  4. I had the same ?

I'm wondering if maybe it's the UV light from the sun, as opposed to indoor lights, that are making the trichs amber so much faster than when I grew indoors. I'm used to the trichs not changing color til when they're supposed to lol. I've noticed that the amber trichs are mostly on sugar leaves up top on the colas, the trichs on the rest of the plants are still cloudy. I'm waiting a bit longer before I cut, mostly cuz I'm hoping the Gravity and Snow Storm I added will have some effect :smoke:

  5. I just trimmed up three branches I had dried a week ago, and damn. Thats all I can say. I'm debating whether or not to take one or two more branches off, cuz this shit is beautiful lol. I almost dont even care to wait with how she turned out (green crack) :p
