Trichromes turn milky 2 weeks into flowering?!

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by JaePrinceton, Sep 27, 2012.

  1. so 2 weeks into flowering and the trichromes on the plant are turning milky. is this normal? the buds havnt fully developed yet so im a bit worried that in a few more weeks the plant will loose potency. feedback will be greatly appreciated!

  2. Did you confirm this with a good magnifying glass or microscope? That seems awfully early for milky trichromes! What strain is it?

    i have confirmed this with a microscope, and i too think its too early which is why im afraid the thc will reach its peak and become less potent as the buds continue to grow. i believe the strain is og.

  4. Ha.

    They aren't milky, it'll be fine. Trichomes don't end up fully forming until later in the process. You may have some, but it seems like the globe on the top of the trichome takes a while to mature into a fully formed trichome.

    Don't worry about it. Just go about growing. It only starts to degrade once they begin to amber.

  5. phew thats a relief! thanks :hello::hello:
