trichome and harvesting question

  1. I want to harvest my plants when the trichomes are mostly cloudy. Right now the trichs on the buds are about 50/50 clear and milky with the odd amber, maybe 1%. The trichs on my leaves are more cloudy than clear with about 20% amber. Should I just ignore the leaves and watch the buds for trichome development? Thanks

  2. Yes you want to pay more attention to the trichs on the buds because that is what you will actually be smoking. If you want cloudy you should be almost ready to harvest just have to wait till more than 50 turn cloudy right?

  3. Harvesting at different stages generates a different result. From my understanding if you harvest a plant while it's clear and cloudy it will act more like a sativa. If you want a strain for its full potential I would wait to harvest it until they are all cloudy on the buds and/or you see a few ambers on the bud. Remember to flush if using nutes. Happy growing....

  4. Have your pistils receded? A pic would help.
