I am going on vacation with my mom to Mexico and last time I went I saw some pretty sick bongs and pipes but I couldn't get any cuz I was only 17. But now I'm old enough and I want to get a bong or pipe. Is it illegal to bring them to the us if they have never been smoked out of? Like will they ask me anything cuz I don't want my mom to know that I smoke.
I've never been in that kind of situation, but honestly you'll probably be fine as long as it's perfectly clean. Border Patrol is looking to bust coke runners and cartel members, not a teenager with a bong. they might pull it out and be like, what's this? but its clean so probably not
If they ask,say its a water pipe used for tobacco. Make sure there's no resin so they can't get you for that.
They usually don't check the inside of your car when you cross the border, just underneath with mirrors and shit and dogs. So as long as you don't give them a reason to be suspicious, like weird smells...you should be good. And you already know not to smoke out of it until you get it home.
If your mom doesn't care I'd say it's worth a shot. But it would really suck if she didn't know and your stuff gets searched and they pull it out...

Don't do it man. You can't take something like that across the border in an airplane. You just can't. State lines, maybe. But not country lines. They will find it.
As long as its not used its fine. But do not put it in your carry on. Make sure it's in one of your checked bags.
