When I transplant is it OK to cover up some of the stalk to keep the height of the plant down or will it cause stem rot? Ideally I'd like to bury half the plant and have another couple inches of buds vs a couple inches of stem.
That's what I was thinking. I have seen plants start growing roots out the side of the stem 1/4" out of the dirt into the dirt. Good, that will give me a few more inches of growth.
