just wanted to ask, sometimes when i transplant the soil is still wet, if i was to take out all the soil like mixing the pot around does this affect the roots? like ok my plant is 1 feet i want to transplant it, i notice it is still wet so i stir up the soil so that it mixes around. does this cause a problem to the roots?
I'm not following your question. Are you talking about stirring the soil that the plant is in now (not the soil in the new larger pot)? If so, LEAVE THAT SOIL ALONE. Roots are delicate, you could tear them up pretty easily. Some people gently loosen the outer soil of the root ball to help those roots start stretching out in the new pot, but that is not necessary and I would advise against it if you don't have experience doing it. Why do you want to stir up the soil, and what's wrong with it being wet? If it's too wet leave it a couple of days to dry first.
