Transplanting 6" above rootball?

  1. We will be putting our plants in the ground soon. We used seeds this year and the plants are a bit elongated. I know when we transplant tomatoes, we will bury the first 3 or so sets of leaves, kind of on an angle. This is suppose to make a strong root system. Has anyone tried this with marijuana? I would like to bury them about 6" above the rootball but I'm afraid to try.

  2. Tomatoes, make roots all along their stem if given the right environment...pot is not as likely to do that without the stem rotting.

If the seedlings are stretched, you can plant them an inch or so deeper but I'd be reluctant to go much more.
