Ok here's the deal: The plants in the pics are 1 week old today, i took them out to give a good watering (thats why they look so wet). I noticed the roots coming out of the botom of the pots already. I planted the seeds about 1/2" down. Should i transplant them so soon? seeds: Feminized (hopefully) Power Plant from Dutch Passion mix of some cheap no nute soil, pearlite, Fox Farm Ocean Forest 23w 5500k CFL till they get big enough for the MH light Good PH etc.. Thanks for any replies, much appreciated. Peace P.S. i have 4 plants going total, any clue why the one in the second pic is twice the size of the others? All are the same age, lights soil seeds etc. thanx again! http://img165.imageshack.us/my.php?image=root2di3.jpg http://img157.imageshack.us/img157/7963/root1pt8.jpg the big girl http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/605/root4vp5.jpg http://img157.imageshack.us/img157/5526/root3wg4.jpg pic of my cramped closet. http://img484.imageshack.us/img484/2453/545588964ade7cao3.jpg
hey man. Nice setup. i like that timer too i have the same one. ur ladies are lookin healthy nice root system goin id transplant. seems like its growing down first to shoot up later.
thanx man, for tonite i wet a q-tip w/ some runoff water and tucked it back in. I'll go pick up some pots tomorrow. I wasn't prepared to transplant after a week. I'm just worried to screw with it so early on is all.
hell im prob jumping the gun. if its just a week old that might be the only root growing down u kno like it didnt spread left and right yet bear with my wording im kinda high.
I don't think its root bound yet. are you leaving water set in the bottom of your pot? If you were this could very well be the cause of the root growing out the bottom. I'd also, toss them under the MH light, mine go under it from the get go and well here is a link you tell me if they look like they needed to adjust! http://forum.grasscity.com/general-indoor-growing/111300-picts-dagirls-hopefully.html
ok i flipped the MH on and put it 3' above for now. I get rid of any standing water prety quickly. Thanx for the advice, and nice grow!
