She's so short and squatty. Under 5 inches tall at 3 weeks old from seed. There's new growth but everything is packed so tightly what training would be best to maximize light penetration? I have a scrog but she isn't even tall enough to reach it yet (set at 8 inches from coco). Tried bending her over but then only one side got any light.

Anyone know what those yellowish-brown spots are? They're on both lower fan leaves.

  2. I wouldn't train it yet, but you should bend it over before it reaches the screen. Makes it easier to manipulate the branches later on.

  3. I suspect ur light is too blame (too blue or 6500k)

imo/ I'd place her under an hps for 2-3 weeks just to encourage some vertical growth

once attained then bend to ur hearts desire

    good luck

  4. Thanks for the recommendation.

I dont have any hps bulbs and can't get any for a while. I do have a 68w CFL 2700k bulb and 2x 23w 2700k CFLs. that I could add to the LED panel (it's suppose to be full spectrum but....). Tent is 4 square feet.

  5. Some plants just don't grow vertical

Here we have ice white widow by female seeds. I topped it once and it just bushes out and stopped growing up. This plant was planted late Feb/March.

This strain would be great for a mainline or scrog

  6. That is one beautiful plant! Hope my next runs are that gorgeous. I think I'm also being a bit impatient, wanting it to get a good size for flowering.

  7. So after calculating some numbers and pulling out the tape measure, I can only have a max height of 12 inches or 1 foot tall after stretch. That's max clearance to have LED clearance. So I need to increase plant width.

In other news, I royally fucked up and snipped an adjacent stem off while trying to top.

  8. You will be OK.

If your limited on space why not run all your plants under 12/12 from seed?

This will keep them short and harvest fast. You will be harvesting every 3-4 months

  9. I feel like I read somewhere that at least 30 days of veg is necessary, maybe on the seed bank site or something. I don't know but I'll probably be switching very soon. Can I still top in flower? Like if its a 9 week flowering strain, top at week 2 or 3?

  10. If you start from seed on 12/12 the plant will veg for about 30 days on its own until it reaches sexual maturity. It is not necessary to veg it for 30 days.... it already does that.

And when the plant starts to flower it will stretch alot! So it's best to top it before flowering or weeks 1 or 2 into flower

  11. 12/12 from seed sounds like a plan. I know about the stretch but never considered how it'd fit into my space smdh. Newb problems.
