So I've decide that I'm going to do a pretty nice sized outdoor grow come season. But I wanted to get a little more experience before I do. So I started an indoor closet grow. This is just a trial and error. Nothing serious. I'm using an AeroGarden setup (just the lights) that I found out in the woods. Haha surprised the thing still works. Anyhow, I will be keeping a journal on it through pictures. So the updates will be written but will be uploaded as pictures. This is the second go around. I tried this same thing a year ago and due to unfortunate circumstances (life) I wasn't able to finish the grow or find any time or opportunities to try again. Hope you guys enjoy this as much as I do. I'm not using any nutes or enhancers. All organic.
How are you gonna have dank kush with no nutes? Some nutrients are organic and some aren't Sent from my VS985 4G using Grasscity Forum mobile app
When I said I wasn't using any nutes I meant I wasn't using any chemical nutrients such as FF Veg/Bloom. I should have been specific. I'm already using nutrients in my soil. I have blood meal and bone meal mixed in and I plan on making some HorseShitTea. Yummy. I was going to specify on what I had in my soil in my next update.
So the seed I had tried to germ didn't want to budge. Maybe I'm being impatient but I usually see some signs of life by now. I took it out the paper towel and stuck it in the soil. Then I took three other seeds and began to germ them the same way. So instead of doing just one I'll put all three in the same pot and then pluck the less favorable ones or moves them to separate pots. We'll see. Till next time.
It's a mix of potting soil by pro mix(I think) and someone's old composted dirt in an abandoned grow spot I stumbled upon. Plus the bone and blood meal I added and pear lite
Ok so I took a look at the three seeds I had germinated. Apparently one of them completely disappeared. Then one didn't even germinate. Now the other one germed a bit too well in fact lol. The plant actually sprouted in the paper towel. With the root embedding itself in the paper towel. So instead of trying to rip the root out and fuck up the plant, I just tore the excess paper off and left a little around the root so I wouldn't stunt growth. Then I placed her (hopefully "her") in the soil. As seen below. She looks like she's going to be strong! I think she might be from an OG strain.
Also a couple of pics of my little setup. Any advice or tips are more than welcome!!! If anyone sees something that I am doing wrong or something that I could do better please feel free to tell me. I'm open to any and all suggestions.
UPDATE!!!! So yesterday marked the three week mark since sprout. Sorry I haven't been keeping up on updates. Been real busy. Here are the updates: I added a few things to my little cardboard grow box. I cut an outflow hole for a small pc fan up top, I put a pc fan right next to the plant to help stabilize the stem, and I raised my lights about two notches (3-4 inches maybe) View attachment 2125592 View attachment 2125593 View attachment 2125594 At two weeks I was having issues stabilizing the stem. Originally (week1) the stem was getting kinda long and curly. I attempted to reposition it but couldn't dig too deep and didn't have enough space for even more dirt. So she kinda just curled about half an inch under the surface. View attachment 2125588 About half way through week two is when shit hit the fan and she really started growing up. ( tears of joy) View attachment 2125590 Now here we are at week three and she has grown tremendously within the last week. She has a piney, fruity/citrusy/mango type of smell to her. Anybody have any ideas on what she might be? Most likely an Indica dominant hybrid. (so beautiful) View attachment 2125591
So 2 days ago it was about 4-5 days since I last watered her. This is what happened the day after I watered her (with tap). She went from this: To looking like this: I originally thought that she was a indica dominate hybrid but now it looks a lot like she's a sativa dominate hybrid. I think what I'm going to do is instead of putting her through an entire cycle indoors. I'm going to let her grow and put her outside for the outdoor season. I like the way she smells and the way she is growing. So instead of leaving her indoor and getting a small portion of what could possibly be some dank ass sativa I'll probably take a clone and grow it out for the indoor cycle while I'll have the mother outdoors giving me 10 fold of what I had hoped for . Any thoughts?
