Trading bud for oil

    Hey guys,

    I've been smoking for over 5 years but haven't really smoked much oil. I have a friend who is willing to trade me oil for bud, if he feels hes getting enough bud for the oil. I'm not really sure what the proper amount to offer is, but I've heard that around here (New York), good oil goes for about 55-60 a g. 8ths also go for 55 on average here. Im thinking an 8th per g is a fair trade?

    That sounds fair to me. I have actually thought about that. I just moved to a place where oil is barely known and I brought half oz oil and an oz of bubble hash. And was wanting buds before my crop is ready. Was wondering how much I could trade for with my hash and oil.

    I'm in the area and I know how hard it is to even find concentrates, so if it's good quality oil I would definitely do it. :D

    That's pretty much an awesome trade since oil is rare everywhere :smoke:

    Gonna be a huge waste if it's shit oil. Does nothing for me unless it's excellent .. And that's even more so rare.

    Sounds good. When you make oil you usually get around 10% from the buds u use so you can do the math. 10grams of flower will get around a gram of oil

    If your in NY and this guy is willing to trade you a gram of BHO (not cooking oil! lol) for an eighth but its actual good BHO? then id go for it. But odds are he wont do that. He will want a q considering it costs about a q over their just to make a gram lol

    why not make some yourself?
    if you did an iso wash wouldnt an eighth only yield like .5 -.7?

    i wouldnt be surprised if its shit wax or you have a really good friend.

    Just curious but is the BHO from dispensaries iso wash? Like ever? Or is that like a different thing?

    ^ No it's usally bho. ~10% return on trim, ~20% return on decent bud.

    Dude if you have access to bud you have access to oil....just need to use your head and do 30 mins of research and then you too can have your very own oil

    As far as I know it's good, hes a good friend of mine and i've smoked it with him many times. as i said I haven't smoked much oil, especially other than his so i don't have a good comparison base, but it gets me high.

    He gets it from his cousin when he goes home from college for cheap he said, so he agreed to it =) However he said that theres about 5ish g's of bud in a g of the oil. thanks for the help/ opinions guys

    if hes a good friend why not just ask if he can teach you?and you'll supply everything for the run and smoke him up after its all done.then in the future you can make quality erls with the proper equipment.

    bho is butane.
    iso is isopropyl alcohol.

    bho requires a "better" purge from my understanding.
