Townhome cultiv.

  1. A freind of mine wanted me to ask these questions, He is lookin at some townhouse/duplex's and he found one that he thinks is good for him to stay in and to cultivate so he can smoke it only for glacouma.

He said its going to be 2 people staying there 2beds, one bath, and nice patio size for a townhome. He has a 600watt hps for his closet while his friend was thinkin to get 3 200 watt hps for his closet.

He wanted to know if There would be Any thought of suspecting cultivation because of the same electricity spots (where the lights are plugged in) are on everyday at a timed cycle?

would it be bad or suspicious of like a 600watt hps on for 12 months, plus 3 200watt hps .

he already did it once in a getto apt, but only a 600 watt though.

    Thanks

  2. Are you asking about infrared detection by law enforcement?

a couple 600w lights are nothing to worry about...

  3. not really, what i meant was like one 600 wat hps in one room and one 400 watt and 200 watt in another room.

would someone get suspicious because of the lights are on for 18/6 to 12/12 hours everyday for 12 months at the same time cycle?

    Thanks

  4. Does a townhome that has a backyard and is not that ghetto or rich have mantinence guys or inspection that come in with a 24 hour notice?

or like people checking once in a while for pets?

  5. That amount of light is nothing to worry about.

If you rent from a rental company/property management, then YES at some point during the year many states (mine does) requires them to have a saftey and fire inspection. Usually you will have a few days notice, at the very least 24 hours.

  6. I wouldn't worry about it, I have something like 600 watt lights above my fishtanks, I have 2 of em in diferent parts of the house running like 12/12 all year. I've had em setup for years and never been contacted by anyone. So I wouldn't be worried, plus a lot of others grow indoors on this site and haven't had too many problems

  7. That amount of wattage will not draw attention.

You asked about it being noticed "because of the same electricity spots (where the lights are plugged in)" -- the power company cannot and does not monitor your electrical use outlet by outlet, just total consumption on one meter (account).

  9. You can go about covering up your grow any way you want. The bottom line is if you're renting a place to live, then your landlord has a key, too. Take the risk or leave it.

  10. Hey dropkick, what's the story behind that photo? Hilarious.

  11. It's an age-old interweb photo.

  12. ya but if he comes in without notice and finds that shit, what can he do? Im under the impression of nothing.

  13. well its a townhome/duplex and it will be rented a year in . (it is quite spaced out and has a backyard too. and im going to have the plants far away from the house that is connected to me with complete odor control. I am going to buy additional locks for my doors

I just hope no Safety/fire inspection has to come in because then i would have to throw away all the plants.

Anyone have someone come check theire townhome/duplex for pets if your not supose to have pets

    thanks

  14. Not quite true toasty, some areas now use smart meters that have the ability to monitor hourly usage, and the technology is available to even tell what type of appliance it is (tho its not being used yet). However, smart meters are really just an easy way to avoid having meter readers employed by the co., unless they have a specific reason nobody at the elec. co reviews hourly usage records.

  15. 1. Like i said, you should contact your rental agency to verify if there is a yearly safety/fire inspection

    2. If you have pets in a non pet residence, you are just asking for problems. Not sure what kind of pet we're talking about here... lizard, cat, dog, snake... If it makes noise, i wouldn't have it there.

  16. Yeah its just one of those photos that float around the internet. The day I get a chipmunk hamster or any rodent type of pet I'm gonna make my own pic lol :)

  17. ...The landlord may do whatever he wants. He owns the building in which there is weed growing.

  18. Ninfan, so the power company with smart meters can tell how much juice I am drawing from the outlet in my kitchen near the cooktop? And the outlet in my bedroom near the closet? And each other separate outlet in the house? That's what I was saying does not happen, and if in fact it does it is news to me.

  19. I grow in a townhouse and they've come in twice since I moved in. They gave me a weeks notice on the inspection and 24 hrs on the furnace filter. On the 24 hr notice I shoved my plants into an upstairs bedroom turned on the coffe maker, bust out the ONA bucket thingy I've built. no problems.

  20. yeah but still he cannot bust in uninvited. You are the resident, He can only enter during emergency only without notice.
