One word Entropy We are a long way from true zero point energy. It will require an understanding of the universe on the most fundamental level, which requires us to study the entire evolution of it all. Last i checked the universe is 14 billion years old and counting, and wont be ending anytime soon. For the next how ever many trillion years there will always ne entropy and thus limited resources and thus overpopulation and poverty.
