Hi there. I am first time grower, and I wanna top my 3 weeks old plants from seedling.

I just transplanted them 2 days ago from 400 ml cups into 4 gallons pots and now I want to top them if that's ok. It's on their 5th node growth already. They are also autos.
My question is: Can I top them now? Or just should wait few more days to develop a better root system? And after I top them how long should I wait until I change the lightning schedule on 12/12 ?
    Thank you.

  2. I think you need to read up on autos.

  3. autos dont need 12 12 try 20 4 or 18 6 and yes you can top now

  4. I think you are supposed to wait like 2 weeks to switch to 12/12 after topping. Something about the stress... You don't want your babies trying to flower while they are under stress... That's with regular plants not sure about autos but it should be the same except I don't think light schedule matters with autos. That's why they're called autos:) They flower automatically...

  5. I agree you could probably benefit from some extra reading. No need to change light schedule and it'd probably be detrimental, also I'm also not entirely sure that topping autos is recommended. I just had pretty decent results from just some very simple LST. I only tied it off twice and it upped my yield at least 50% vs the same strain I grew at the same time and didn't train at all.

  6. Dont top autos you will fuck them up big time more light hours = more bud with autos
