  1. is it safe to top a lanky plant at the start of the second week of flower?

  2. A little too late for my preference, could cause some unwanted stress and possibly hermie.

  3. if there is no choice top. if its going to hit the lights and so on this is more of an issue then topping . it will not cause them to herm . i do a lot of trimming on mine in late flower a few times never an issue

  4. once flowering has begun, it is no longer "topping" but "pruning". you can do it. but you will not get the same effects as topping. dont expect 2-3 tops where there was one.

  9. im unsure what im going to to be honest the supercroping sounds less risky to me so i might do that but im definitely considering both. i think they have stopped growing now. the problem is the pots are only 3L and the plants are like 60cm tall now. im stuck between repotting supercroping and topping ahha. ill keep you guys informed what i end up doing thanks for all your help

oh by the way im growing them straight up ive not done any training so its just one cola with some sides.

  11. I personally wouldn't top (by choice) right now. In my opinion I would try some stem manipulation, if height is gonna be a problem. You can bend that stem without it breaking. It is risky, but if you're willing to top her I'd give it a try.where you want it to bend, just twist that part in your fingers until you can start to bend it , then tie the top half down and that top half can be grown pretty much horizontally.
But if you want to increase yeild, I wouldn't top now, just let it grow ........

  12. read how to lolly pop . this is what needs to be done . if your not sure you can let the entire plant grow as is it will be perfectly fine .

  13. That's crazy to say that it is not topping because it is dont in flower. No matter if you top in veg or top in flower you are cutting the TOP off, therefore topping the plant. The term does not come from the results it give you or it would be called the double topping tequnique. After saying that I agree you wont benefit anything other than reducing your hight if you top during flower.

  15. yeah im unsure about topping i just dont want to risk it. i havent got an issue grow height itself.. its just the lankyness im worried about and the pot size. would supercropping help with the lanky? im guessing it would slightly

  16. call it what you want. but topping a plant is removing a portion at the node to promote short bushy plants and produce multiple tops. topping has a purpose that will not be fulfilled in this case therefore it isn't topping. pruning also has a specific purpose. i'm not sure why you felt the need to "fix" my vocabulary, but it was unnecessary.

i would not take any leaves off. the plant hardly has any to begin with. do not defoliate. of course this is one of the most argued topics in the growing culture. the way i see it is, those leaves take absolutely no energy from the plant now. they are simple nourishment catchers. they provide energy by being there. also there are so many issues with ganja that starts at the bottom of the plant. if there is nothing st the bottom, where will it start?

  18. Pinch her top and bend her over. Don’t cut off her head, you’ve not got much plant there to begin with...imho

  19. it wasnt even wrong mate i think he just interpretated it wrong. i guess its hard for some people with how we right text these days i fully understood you anyway. you just meant you top in veg normally and only really prune in flower.

  20. you have a good point mate i like to leave some on for that reason i see them as protection just incase i over fert or whatever. i normally just lolly pop the bottom 3rd and then leave 2 -3 on each top growing em bushy. this is the first time ive let it grow naturally it was more just something i was experimenting with that went wrong hahah obviously i want the best for my little girl though. this plant tho pink predator it just grows with big gaps like a sativa theres barely any leaf
