Top dress recipe

    Hi guys I found this top dress recipe on buildasoil.com and was wondering if the recipe was good from another growers point of view. I have all ingredients in hand and its the 4th week of veg which means my ffof soil has probably ran out of nutrients by now so today I want to start the top dress process. Also does anybody have any recommendations on mulch like what kinds are better alfalfa, straw, ricehulls? Here's the list and link.
    For every 5 Gallons the plant is in I would add the following:



    1. 3 Tablespoons Kelp Meal
    2. 2 Tablespoons Fish Bone Meal
    3. 4 Tablespoons Gypsum
    4. Cover with up to 2" layer of worm castings across the whole container.
    5. Put the mulch back, or cover with fresh mulch etc.
