Took 75mg with no tolerance, what is happening to me?

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by Rd300, Sep 4, 2018.

  1. Around Thursday night at 10pm I took around 75 mg of a punch bar with zero tolerance to any form of weed. I took 25 mg and then another 50 thirty minutes later. Not to mention the punch bar was melted and it could have been more. I have smoked probably twenty or less times in my life and have only done it three times this year. I know it was an extremely terrible decision.
Thursday night went well until I started getting too high. I went to bed thinking I would be fine in the morning but I was wrong. I couldn’t sleep and I was extremely confused and paranoid. One of my friends said I was shaking and I remember feeling like I was dying. I would close my eyes and see shapes and all sorts of dimensions. It was literally the worst experience of my life. The next morning I woke up thinking I was ok until I got out of bed. I then proceeded to throw up 4 times and still felt high. I was paranoid and afraid like I had never been before. I still felt extremely high. The next day I woke up feeling high again and mentally disoriented. I had a terrible day because I felt like I was in a coma or I would have brain damage forever. On Sunday I woke up still feeling high and disconnected and was extremely worried about when this would go away. I woke up this Morning and I’m not sure if I’m high but I’m extremely depressed and somewhat paranoid. I feel like I have lost some of my intelligence and am permanently fried. I have terrible anxiety towards things I have never been nervous about. I am extremely depressed as well and still don’t feel out of place.

Please help any input is appreciated.

It will past. You are clearly anxious about it which will exacerbate your symptoms.

I love edibles but I can somewhat relate in the times i've pushed it a little too far. Things that definitely help me when i'm still feeling the aftereffects a day later:
    • ~50mg of CBD
    • Strong Coffee
    • Sun and exercise (can be hard but you have to push yourself)
If i want to feel 100% I also do take the following supplements/nootropics:
    • Fish oil with high DHA/EPA
    • ALCAR
    • NAC
    • Aniracatam
    • Phenylpiracatam
But this is largely overkill. Get the top 3 right, make sure you get sleep and you'll be sweet.

Edited. I wasn't very nice. OP did something so stupid I can't believe he's got the nerve to complain he feels bad. I feel like this behavior sets back our case for legalization. At least he didn't call the ambulance.

  4. You ate over 7 times the recommended dose of thc for someone with no tolerance. Edibles are very different for everyone, I ate 150 mg this weekend and was still perfectly functional and could pass it off in front of my fiances grandmother no problem whereas I have friends who would be glued to a couch with that much. Eat a lot less next time, start slow and increase in 1-2 hour increments if you arent feeling anything

  5. People have watched too many tv shows over the years of people eating pot brownies and think they can pound them down. My wife won't even try edibles. Cuz once you swallow it, it's too late. I tell her to try a little then a little more in an hour if she doesn't feel anything. Nope, won't even try it. More for me. But, o.p. if I drank a big bottle of whiskey, I'd probably black out, get the spins, puke, shake etc. Then the 2+day hangover. I know why all those things happened. Cuz I drank a bottle of whiskey. No bueno. You simply over did it. The fog will lift. You'll be fine. Next time, take a bite and wait. Need more? Have another bite. If you're good, you have some for later or tomorrow. Don't try to keep up with others with edibles if you don't know your threshold.

  6. Thanks I’ll try these things

  7. Sounds like you did way too much. Same thing happened to me when I first did edibles, they were homemade and I had no idea how to measure the mg dosage. My high didn't last that long, about 10 to 12 hours, but I felt residual effects from it for the next 24 hours. To simply put, when you overdo edibles, you're fucked.

  8. We see this story all to often in new users that have eaten to much. This is why we always warn people to start very small and wait a full 2-3 hours before eating more as there is no going back once it's been consumed.

While smoked Cannabis effects starts to fade after 45-90 minutes the edibles can last 6-8 hours for the initial high and leave the user feeling out of sorts for the next day or two much like overindulgence of alcohol does.

It will pass and it doesn't do any permanent damage. I don't toke at all now days and experienced as I am with edibles I can still take that bit to much and find myself a ways past my own comfort zone.
Even something like a large rich meal can draw blood from the brain as the stomach calls for more resources from the body and I'll wind up on the edge of blacking out mid meal.
Took a while to finally figure that one out and I've learned to go easy before a party where lots of food is served now.
