Hi!! This is my first post and also... Sorry for my English! It's my second language.

So I am growing two Dark Angel from Crop King seeds. They germinated six weeks ago and fife weeks ago I put them in the tent. During that one week between germination and vegetative phase I kept them in a normal pot in natural light.

So I set up the tent 32x32x63" (silver inside walls), LED lights Mars Hydro 300w, small two speed fan, and I put the plants in. Everything fine: they started to grow stronger and faster, beautiful deep green leafs. I water them all the necessary to keep it wet and moist and never dry, I control the temperature and humidity and I feed them once per week... BUT!!! It's not growing tall!! My plant it's the healthiest I've grown (third timer) strong and beautiful, but I don't know what I'm doing cause it's short and bushy! I know lots of people are looking forward this, but I'm not doing nothing out of the ordinary and to be honest, I kinda want to stretch it just a tiny bit more? To feel it's actually growing and will give me nice buds? Lol

I did a topping two days ago hoping this can give me at least more branches and it worked, you will see in the pics. I don't stress them too much but every morning I say hello to hem and subtly I kinda "brush" their leaves down, like opening them...

    Pics from the top:

You can appreciate the topping I've made. It's starting to look from the top

Do you see how bushy is down the big leaves??

    Humidity and room temperature

The tent and my two pants (and a basil plant that it's growing like a mutant, I'm using the same feeding as Dark Angel)

    Food.

Somebody has some advice?? What I'm doing wrong? Should I stretch it or keep it like this? Is it something im doing?

It's first time growing in a growing tent and LED lights... Also first time with this strain... I googled other dark angels but they don't look so short and bushy. Help?

  2. What is the water ph level because it has to be 6.5-7.0 have been having your lights on for 12 hours than 12 hours off and do u have digital timer that does a 12 hour on/off cycle

  3. They look great to me. Mine were very short and bushy for a while then really took off. If you really want them to stretch you could raise the light. I use a Mars 1600.

  4. They are perfect, that's just the way you want them right now. When you finally put them into flower they will stretch and triple in size. Seriously, pat yourself on the back because they look great. Just one thing though, you are really going to need more light if you want to return any kind of a good yield. That's because one of those lights will only flower 1 plant. Also you should move the light closer to them, and when you switch them to flower keep the light no more than 12 inches from your plant for optimal growth during your 12/12 flowering cycle!

  5. I'm still at the vegetative phase, they are six weeks and the lights are on since 8 AM till 11 PM / 12 AM I just brought a ph pen to start measuring the water. Everyone say it looks good, but my two past experiences were way taller and not so bushy :p

  6. Should I consider this now in the vegetative phase or when flotation begins? Thanks for the advice and comments!

  7. Fuck yeah! Atta girl me!! I'm doing my best, that's why I was like "WTF plant! Why you don't grow bigger!", but now I'm happy reading your answer. Now, when do you think it's ok to induce to flotation to have a "decent" one person yield with two plants?... Having in consideration I would grow other two later.

When it comes to vegging, and I am not doing auto(s) I never count the days because they really don't matter. What matters after 4 weeks, is how much space you have to flower your babies. A Indica will double up both vertically and horizontally., A sativa will 1/2 to single up horizontally and triple up vertically. So when to flip them will depend more on those rules than anything else. Lets say your plant is 10 inches tall, and you have a 7 foot tall tent to grow in. Your pot is 10 inches tall, your hood is 8 inches high, and the minimum distance to allow a plant to be from your hood is 6 inches, (for a nicely cooled cool hood reflector). so you have 10 (pot) + 8 (hood) + 6 (min distance from top of plant to hood) = 24 or 2ft, so you have 5ft to grow your plant so if your plant is a sativa you could safely veg her until she is 16 inches tall x 3 = 48 inches or 4ft, which would give you still a foot to play with if you have a few tops that want to grow a little bigger. And that's how I know when to flip my plants when doing a indoor grow!

  9. Thats great to hear that you brought your pen it will help u alot if u want u can use fox farm grow big to help your situation hope this you as it did for me

  10. Personally, I wouldn't try to get them to stretch. As Fataqui said, they look perfect. Just keep doing your thing. Here is a pic of my first indoor grow at about 6 weeks. They seem pretty similar to your. Different strains grow differently, of course.

    Mars 1600 LED, 5x5 tent, 4 plants

  11. They look like led grown plants short and tight nodes. They will stretch the first 3 weeks of flower. Is dark angel photoperiod? I thought they were autos for some reason . if auto no 12/12

  12. They aren't auto. It it makes so much sense what you said about the LED lights... I google a bit more and I found a bling that said this:

    "The bottom line is this:
Your white-blue lights can still be used through the first several weeks of flowering to help keep the distances between nodes short and minimize stretching. if you want to make sure your plants grow at a reasonable rate without experiencing extreme stretching and damaged stems, make sure you get plenty of light and don’t let your night temperatures vary too far from your day temperatures."

It makes sense cause the Mars Hydro 300 looks really subtitle purple, (min the pics looks way more purple than in reality) and you know purple is half blue and half red, also in the night I don't change the temperature... I think naturally goes down a few degrees but I don't have to do anything cause I have them in a tent I installed at the basement wardrobe, actually real close of the house heater!! Never goes up of 80 and never goes down of 70!! Hungry stays between 30-50 down there cause it's close of a bathroom, so it happen to be perfect.

So I guess the constant good temperature, plus nice light, decent/middle humidity, plus the right nutrients = perfection!

  15. Corn sst can do wonders for side branch. Move the light closer and if u can, get another light. Once I flower like everyone said, it'll stretch
