Too much or not enough light??

  1. 20220511_173856.jpg Last indoor grow was kind of a bust, with not much yield.
So, I thought I would ask if this is enough or too much light.
Each light has 1000 watts equivalent.

  2. 12" above from the CENTER of the plant will give you better results

  4. Ok. Moved the plants directly under the lights at 12" above the plant.
I just pulled these plants inside because they are getting taller then our short fence and we got a talking to by code enforcement last year. Illegal to grow outside where we live in California.
I have set the timer up on the lights to come on at sunrise and off at Sunset.

  5. the 12" distance is for the light pattern. It takes the light a little time to travel and spread. At 12" your light will have a coverage area of 2' x 2'. at 20" it will be around a 3' x 3' area.As far as your plants getting taller than your fence...I super crop my plants that get too tall. Check my grow journal for pics of what I mean. look for Scarlett Begonia on day 21 of flower

  6. Yeah top, crop, bend, or do whatever you need to if height is an issue. If they are already getting out of hand, I would put them on a 12 hour light cycle and let them flower.

  7. Only too tall because the new renter next door is an ass.
I have been looking for a fence contractor to build me a taller fence.
I bought 6 lights and have brought the plants into my sunroom, which makes it legal.
I will still have to look at keeping the plants smaller because there is no way to block out the natural sunlight in my sunroom.
