My plant just germinated about 4 days ago, and i've just been leaving the light on 24/7. I water the plant once every morning, but i was just wondering if i should be shutting the light off. Or is there such a thing as too much light?
generally, most indoor growers will do a 24/0 light schedule but, some argue that the 18/6 is more effective there shouldn't be a problem with leaving the light on all the time
Stop watering it every day though... That's one of the most common mistakes by new growers. Just water when the soil gets really dry about an inch or two down (at first), then as the plant gets bigger you can wait until it drys out about 3" or so. Leave the lights on 24/7 for the first 2-3 weeks (depending on how big you want it when you flower), then switch it to 18/6 for a week, then you should be ready to flower (12/12). If you do it gradually, it'll be easier for the plant to adjust..
