Too Much Air Flow?

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by Dutchey, Nov 24, 2012.

  1. Hey there guys and gals,

Quick question as part of my pre-planning. Im thinking of using a 1.2m x 1.2m x 2.0m grow tent. Would a centrifugal fan pulling out 220 m3/h be overly excessive? Basically would it potentially cause me any problems?

    Cheers,
    Dutchey

  2. That's like 120CFMs, right?

Not excessive at all. I would say at least 200CFMs

  3. So just to put in more accepted format the proposed room is 3' 11" x 3' 11" x 6' 6.7"
So it would be 374 CFM

I'm saying the fan is only about 120 cfms. You want a fan rated for 200+ cfm.

    I have a 400w hps in a 2ft x 3ft x 5 1/4ft tent with a 190CFM fan, temps stay in the 70s to low 80s

  5. Sorry I think I'm miss understanding? CFM being Cubic Feet per Min?

  6. Yes. 220 m3/h =about 120cfms

A 400 m3/h fan will be much better

  7. Okay thanks for your help :)
