Too many threads in wrong places

  1. Is it just me or has the Recreational use forum turned into the general forum? As other forums have as well. I don\'t know what can exactly be done about this except getting users to pay attention to where they are posting but its getting old. I was hoping a mod could give me some reassuring words about some miracle situation to correct the problem. Maybe bring up another mod that can help patrol the forums? So 5-7 mods don\'t have to work as hard. I dunno.

  2. Yeah it is quite the issue lately. I know sometimes the mods will start deleting threads that are posted in the wrong forum, and that sometimes seems to help for a little while, but the problem always comes back.

I\'ve said a couple times before that I think \"Recreational Marijuana Use\" is a misleading name for newer members. It sounds like a forum that would revolve around anything and everything marijuana, and a lot of folks don\'t bother to read the description and see that it\'s only supposed to be about pieces and such. I don\'t think it helps either that it\'s at the very top, while the General forum is so far down.

But besides that stuff, it would probably help to add to the mod crew like you said. Late night seems to be especially lacking in moderators sometimes. And wouldn\'t you know it, that\'s the time when all the crazy spammers decide \"I\'m going to try to get these stoners to buy my shitty product by annoying the hell out of them\". :p

  3. If members can\'t take the time to read a forum description before posting, then we\'ll just delete their threads in the future. Since official complaints have surfaced, it\'s a justified move. Before, we\'d just delete from time to time and move them at other times, but now we\'ll just delete them. There\'s no need to change things because a handful of people can\'t bother to be responsible enough to post in the appropriate forums. However, if the same members continue to post in the wrong forums then warnings will be issued along with the deleted threads.

I\'ll let the Mods and Super Mods know.
