there doesn't need to be a poll for everything. half the people don't vote on them and just talk in the thread.. haha
you should have made a poll asking if there was too many polls... hehe but yea there is an awful lot of em... and for you wanting to know how many people like/dont like/do/dont do/this/or that just ask the question and people will put it in their post... thats how it usualy works..
It's because when someone's too stoned or lazy to type they can just vote on a poll and it rises right to the top. Maybe if it only went to the top of the list when people wrote a comment.
that is an awesome suggestion. Certainly will fix some of the annoying polls from surviving. mebbe this thread will spark an unspoken poll precedent for all future threads. That'd be cool.
A lot of people take advantage of the poll-making option, and use it for very personal things, leaving only like two choices anyway. Meh...
They will probbaly never do anything about it. They are not very receptive to suggestions around here. The saddest thing about it is, I have seen all of the polls befor, they cycle every few months. Once they leave the front page they will retrune on another forum under another name, because if poeple dont see them in the frirst few pages they just make a new one.
Part of the irritation stems from, when ever anyone votes in the poll it gets bumped up to the top of the page. Hence it is perpetually handled like a new post.
polls suck. i hate them. i get so sick of the same damn things that cycle over and over: "what's the highest you've ever been? what's your favorite piece? ever been caught? why do you smoke? which do you think... do you like my piece? which should i get?" ...and the list goes on. let's all create a new thread that polls about something unoriginal.

Scroll to the bottom of this page and look at the Similar Threads. LOL!!! I think it's funny. If you hate polls: Ignore the polls. Pretend they don't exist. If you see a thread with 'Poll:' before the title...skip it. If you love polls: Pay attention to the polls. Pretend they exist (because they do!) Make a poll and don't forget to vote. I'll look into the whole "not going back to the top" deal and see what's up with it. Maybe I should make a poll about it first, though. Seriously...I'll look into it.
