too high, its annoying

  1. When i smoke, i am out of it. melted to the couch, on auto pilot, staring off into space O U T of it.

    I am 23, i have been smoking off and on since I was 18. by off and on, i mean maybe a joint a month, or every three weeks.

    lately i have been smoking almost daily. and I love being high now. But I cant function high! I smoke a half a joint, and thats all. It seems like if i smoke a half i am out of it, but if i smoke less than a half i dont feel very high.

    if i keep smoking almost daily will i eventually be able to smoke a joint and go function? go to work, drive, etc with a buzz? or is everyone different and some people get this high even smoking daily for a loooong time? and some will build up tolerance?

    I also have low tolerance to cough medication, alcohol and caffeine. I get loopy from taking regular doese of over the counter cough meds, get drunk off two beers maybe three, and if i drink one can of mountain dew i just go ape shit im so hyper.

  3. But in case you cant, yes, if you continue to smoke daily you will be able to function better while high.
     
  4. The obvious answer is to smoke less. Just smoke a little now and when you're coming down smoke a little more. That way you have a nice buzz going that still lets you function.
     
  5. I had the same problem about a week ago.

    Then I picked up a spoon pipe and 7g's of weed.

    After a few days of toking it gets easier and easier.

    I even talk to my mom while im high as shit and she cant tell.

  7. Mandem you just have to get used to the high , before you can function almost properly, Ive been smoking for a few years , alot heavier now, but because Im used to the high , and use it to mellow out after a workout or after homework as a reward almost and I can function pretty normally.

    Bottom Line: Keep rollin and puttin them in tha air, and in time your tolerance will go up (Not nessecceraily Good, Money wise)

  8. Don't over whelm yourself if you're starting to smoke. It's a mistake most people make. They start smoking get shit faced then their more experienced mates want them to do something even as simple as driving and to a new smoker that can be daunting. Start off slow. Smoke and do an activity that doesn't require much thought or paranoia. If you have a dog. Smoke some then strap the leash on and go for a wander with your dog. This will be good practice. So you can be out in the world and experience how it is to be in public and functioning high.

    But at the same time if you start getting paranoid or feel like you look high etc you won't. To other people simply you are walking your dog nothing suss at all and you'll enjoy it. When you start getting more comfortable with small outings step up the weed quantity (assuming you already own quality) and begin to dabble in other activities. So you could try maybe going to a mates house and having a seshion and then maybe deciding to go bowling and so on and so fourth.

    But if at any time you get uncomfortable or feel like a zombie or that 'I'm too wasted to be doing this.' Take a step back and if possible remove yourself from the situation. Weed is not supposed to make you unsure, or anxious etc. It's supposed to enhance your activities and feelings.

    It won't come straight away but eventually I'll be reading posts on here from you saying you went bungee jumping high :)

  9. this guy said it all pretty much but well to late for u now but they way i learned way well i started smoking during high school and well first couple times i was a little paranoid but after awhile i would do everything normaly like the first time i walked infront of a cop i was freaked out and thinking i wasnt walking straight but after awhile i didnt care no more like i knew i was doing good and walking straight not paranoid just high but kidna straight still
     
  10. Once you build up a little bit of a tolerance, you'll be able to function well. The only reason you can't is because you were smoking on and off and everytime you take a break your tolerance goes way down.
     
  11. Though I agree with what everyone else is saying, I disagree with their perspective that being able to act normal while high is a good thing. I find that after smoking everyday for more than a week really kills the whole experience. It becomes more dull and mundane. I would suggest NOT trying to build up a tolerance and simply smoke less when you want to function so that you can still become shitfaced-blitzed whenever you want to.

  13. just pack a bowl , and smoke as much as you need. smoke a little. then wait like 10 minutes. buzz? if not keep going. with bongs and pipes its alot easier to control how much you smoke.

  17. My first 2 weeks of smoking I could barely function. I could walk around and shit, wasn't stuck to my couch, but still i would never have been able to go into public high and act normally. First time I went into public high I went to a casino and had to sign up for a players card. Everything went smoothly for me but my friend was signing up beside me. The woman asked him for his ID, and gave it back to him. Then the lady next to me asked a woman for her ID, and my friend tripped and tried handing HIS ID back to the lady.. She was like "Uh... I dont need that." I fuckin lost it lmao.

    You'll get used to it the more you smoke. Your tolerance will build too.
     
  18. I agree, smoke what you need not too much. take a break, dont take it all in a 5min time period space the hits out
     
  19. I like the idea of just taking it slow while you are getting used to being stoned.. Start off with walks then progress on to being out in public, etc.
    Also find your "happy medium" aka how much you need to smoke to make you feel juuuuuuuust riiiiiiiight. If you feel too high and dislike the heavy couch lock, then you are smokin too much! Lol a few tokes is all it takes.
    oh and until you get to the point where you do function well while stoned, dont smoke until all of your daily responsibilities are taken care of! Simple concept really, if you dont have anything important that needs to be done then you wont feel that pressure like you absolutely have to function. Lol!
