Too good to be true? Lighting

    That's what I thought. I was amazed. Wonder if there's a catch?
    I want to go ahead and order this baby. I was gooing to pay 125-150 for a 6 or 8 t5 fixture. This should be even better right? For flowering, I mean.

    ive seen em in store and its cheap but will work for a few harvests till you decide to get serious and buy a bigger setup.

    Its a pretty good deal. it's what you'd pay on average in any garden/grow store. Good luck on your growing adventure.

    I was looking at the same light, just don't have the money or room for it. If you do get it lemme know how it works for you. Goodluck on the grow!

    bet you anything that ballast is very low on efficiency.. it says 400w but bet you anything it draws about 600w-800w usually you get what you pay for with electronics

    Also, those ballasts put off a lot of heat compared to the newer digital ballasts. You get what you pay for.

    Well. I made a mistake. I was thinking all wattages were for 70.00. Until I clicked on the drop down. The 400w is 120.00. I went ahead and ordered it anyway.
    Still a good price compared to the t5 fixture I was considering.
    I can set the ballast outside the flower closet. Now I need to go buy the mylar.

    Good luck bro! And you're right 120 for a 400w isnt bad at all. Keep us updated! I definitely wanna see this grow. :smoke:

    HTg always has good deals and i think the lights with the glass tube like that work fine thats how they did it in the 70's before air cooled hoods and they all got stoned.. so i would grab it if your on a budget.

    watch out as that ballast is not digital, looks magnetic. It's probably noisy and hot.

    I have a non-digital ballast on my 1000w HPS, and whilst it gets pretty warm, its very very quiet. I haven't run into too many non-digital ballasts that are noisy at all....Unless they were completely worn out haha.
