Too early for nutes?

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by bgibs, Apr 22, 2016.

  1. So one of my two auto flowers had she'd her seed and is about an inch tall now with small leaves unfolding. I was wondering if it is too soon to use the nutrients I have purchased (Buddha grow)

  2. From what I've heard its way to early at the min the plant will have all it nutrients it needs for about 2-3 weeks I'm not a expert so wait till some one with experience comments to verify lol

  3. dont give it anything until it looks like it needs something. Force feeding isnt the way, trust me. What will you be feeding it, when you do?

  4. I think it's called buddah grow for the earlier stages and then big bloom for the flowering

  5. 3rd node start feeding. You can top at that point too. Seedling stage is the most sensitive annoying fucking stage because it is so slow going and boring lol. It is like a duck on water though. Calm above but the roots are going crazy underneath.

  6. Yeah I been finding myself just staring at the damn things but what sucks is I forgot which seed is which and one is growing fairly slower than the other. I'm hoping the one that is growing pretty rapidly is the Girl Scout cookies not the grand daddy purp. Quick question though if you have the answer, what is the difference between autos and regular photoperiod strains and how much longer does one take compared to the other.

  7. Luckily you can tell the difference between gdp and gsc to an extent. True gsc is one of those annoying ones that doesn't get giant colas but big solid popcorn nugs all over. I mean at the top you will get a little cola. Also gdp should turn purple if it is a decent breeder.

  8. Yeah hopefully I chose a reliable breeder. Im thinking of breaking away from auto flowers after this grow if it goes well. Do u recommend regular photoperiod strains? I've heard they are of a better quality

  9. I only get local seeds from the dispensarie. I am growing these this year.

They are all mold resistant which is a problem out here on the coast. It hits you right in the middle of flower and is horrible.

  10. lol purple panty dropper. I live on the east coast and my humidity has been super low but as temps rise it's going up. I'm afraid of mold and I wanna take the right steps to prevent it.

  11. There is no set time to start feeding your plant, no matter what node its at. far too many variables to dictate that.
