tonfoil ontop of my piece

    The piece we have (trumpet mouth piece) has a real big whole, so we need a screen, and we don't have any. is it alright to use tinfoil, poke little holes in it, and use that as the filter??

    Is it safe? Is it effective?

    Its not exactly safe... but it should do one session. I strongly recommend you get some proper screens as soon as possible though. Regularly using tinfoil as a screen can cause some naaaasty health problems down the line

    I have heard bad stuff about aluminium, but im not too sure about tin. i think its safer. tin foil can be fine just make sure you dont burn it.

    Don't smoke out of anything where aluminum might be in contact with strong heat.
