Tollerence

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by nilram04, Aug 28, 2008.

  1. Can you explain what physoligically is going on when you build up a tollerence to cannabis? Why does it take so long to go away? How long of a break is necessary to undo it?

I somke about a joint of mids during the week and maybe 2 joints worth on the weekend nights in my Buckett Bong.

Can little daytime hits add to the tollerance effect? I'm brand new and want to know what I might be able to expect. I'm 37 and I only smoke cannabis, no drinking at all, so T breaks are really sucky.

  2. switch up strains maybe? the thc builds up in your body so if you excersise and sweat alot you can get rid of some of it. at least your not like my one friend who has to take a hit every 5 minutes! I don't know what the hell is wrong with him but he makes a good customer if I got some extra.

  3. Yep, I switched up strains last night by smoking some schwag that I had and it worked! I was blazed i one bowl. Now I'm actually looking for schwag in my area.

  4. A doctor explained it to me once, I can't describe the exact reactions you are having because I don't remember the specifics (thanks weed ;)) but the membranes become depressed (not like depression depressed, like used so much they think being depressed/used is 'normal') This is because your body is always trying to normalize itself no matter whats in it. The best way to fight this is to keep the amount of cannaboloids (sp?) changing, hence why changing up the strains constantly works.

  5. The more you smoke, the more your brain "turns off" some of your cannabinoid receptors. It's not really a psychological thing outside of the fact that it takes place in the mind. Taking a break turns them back on. More receptors, more of a high.
