Sorry if this is a double post of sorts but time is running short. I have three seedlings in 12oz plastic cups that are 15 days out of soil. in 5 days I will be out of town for 10 days. These were germinated as part of testing my new rig (sig) and I intended to trash them but I want to keep them now if I can. I will water them heavily at the last moment and use a wicking system that won't last 10 days but should help. They will be unattended day 10-20. My main question now is should I transplant them to their 3 gallon homes or leave them as is. Which would make moisture control easier for them? I am using FFOS mixed 3-1 with vermiculite. Any advice appreciated!
I would transplant them since a bigger pot which will hold more water. Water them thoroughly before you leave and fill up a tray for them to sit in as a wick system. Being gone 10 days is a long time so be prepared for the worst when you come home. Also, pull the lights up so that the plants don't grow into the lights and burn themselves. GL!
