Im gonna be starting my first solo grow. Im working with a 4x10 part of my basement. I only wanna grow two plants at a time. Nothing major. Now should I invest in a grow tent or just use the 4x10 space or just build my own (no building experience) Ive spent a good amount of money so far so im trying to go budget . Why? I have a tent, and I'm really happy with it! I would probably be cheaper to DIY but it might not turn out as good... Soil, nutes and lights are good
if the price tag is you major concern then diy room/box is the way to go, i spent 80 bucks on my box, that includes all the wood, screws, ducting, and hinges. the locks and latches were pretty expensive 25$. with that budget you could make a box 4' x 4' x 8'. of course you could make it any size you want. the reason i went that route is it's air-tight, light proof, and a thief will have a harder time stealin my shit. i don't know how much a tent is but that's just my experience, as i wanted it to be as stealthy as possible because family visits on vacation since i am close to the beach and they aren't
thanks guys, ive been contemplating asking a friend whos good with wood to build me a box, i have zero skils. Really seems like the cheaper way to go. I dont need anything as big as the tents they sell since its only one or two plants tops. if I invest in enough light can i skip the box?

yea its the last room in my basement , i have musical stuff in the main room and the back room you cannot see since ive hung large black table cloth stuff seperating the three rooms. The back room is completley dark and already has silver padding on the walls. Stays about 65 back there with no lights only thing that worries me is the stink
look up diy carbon filters. around 50$ but i have yet to buy carbon but i found 10 lbs for 15 bucks. cheaper than pre fab ones but no guarantee of it working. just look up stickies and use search function and you'll have more than enough info. just don't overthink the situation and use common sense, and you will have some kick ass buds
Yeah, that is one of many options. You have ozone-generators and ionizing bulbs. I saw these bulbs the other day, and thought I might try some... 11w or something, ionizes and cleanses the air.
