I'll try to explain it the best I can, but you know how when you are younger and your parents are you watching over you, they sometimes let you do things so you can figure things out for yourself. Most of the time you will screw up, but hey, you learned. Didn't you? Thats the same way with God. I hope I explained that right so you all can understand what I'm trying to say.

Dude - it says in the bible that hell is eternal. Come on. Why do people have to tailor the bible to their own belief system? I thought it was all or nothing? God has given us all the option of suicide... you're not proving anything by asking God to do something you can do yourself. Basically, God's calling your bluff every second of the day... seems wise. God is calling his bluff? Wouldn't that mean God is telling him to kill himself? Even if God knows he won't kill himself, calling his bluff "every second of the day" doesn't strike me as benevolent.
Obviously, he'd rather live. To hold him to some egoic delusional immature challenge of "take your shot" would be cruel and unwise. Maybe God, too, can realize people say things they don't really mean just to satisy their ego or to vent... it's pretty obvious to me.
