To germinate or not to germinate?

I bet this question gets about a 50/50 response.

For impatient growers, go with the 'visible germination' (ie. paper towel method)

For those of you that have been here before. Sow your seed the way nature intended.

I just use the old "glass of water" method. It's always worked for me. So why change. I am just a noob at this still though.
