To Catch a Smuggler Scripted or Paid Off

So I was watching "to catch a smuggler" on national geographic and it seemed like the show was either scripted or the smugglers were doomed. It's like the people that sent them just sent off the 4 kilos or whatever without worrying about the loss just to satisfy US customs and make them look like they are actually catching criminals when tommorow another 4 kilos will successfully make it in. What make me make this is they took the guy to a room and sat him down. At the beggining they just said this guy looks strange comming from Ghana with family in atlanta and they immediatiely took him to a room and fucking sliced open his bag. It's like they had previous intel. It's either crooked crops or is this show scripted like Operation Repo
