So I got one about a little over a month ago. It seriously has changed my smoking experience. I have yet to be able to take more than 4 full bowls to myself. I had one friend ask me If I put drugs in the weed and he's been smoking for 5 years everyday. It just amazes me how god damn high you can get. I keep asking myself how is this possible? I've hit so many bongs and nothing comes close to this. My question is has anyone who owned one taken the time to figure out what is so different about this bong that makes you so high? Also please share some stores if you have a friend who has one or yourself, would love to hear I know I posted this pic before, just thought it would go well with the thread.
Never felt it got me higher than other bongs but definately good flavor and nice smoothness. I really love watching a pillar milk. It's definately one of the bigger tubes I've used, mine is about 20inches and a pretty large bore, bigger than the natty necks.

Yea that makes sense. I barely cough now and I can't stand taking rips from other pieces. It must have been allowing me to take huge rips without realizing which makes me higher. And seriously you forsure do. This piece was an impulse buy I mean who drops 1.1k on a piece they have never used.. lol but omg I don't regret it and my buddy that gave me the most shit because he thought he knew it all and that was a waste of money is now wishing he had the money to get one hahahha.

ive owned a pillar for a little under a year now. when i first got it, i couldnt fully appreciate it. it took some use and when going back and forth with my other pieces, the qualities started to shine. some of the things i liked, -it only has 1 water chamber, but it does a lot with just that 1 water pass. which preserves "flavor", and helps keep drag down. -the peyote ball has grids that fire evenly. the more you pull, the more holes fire downward. which allows more air to pull thru when you need it, reducing drag. -i liked the pillars use of space. by putting the bowl up higher, it allowed for the smoke to have more room to travel, without having to create a bigger tube. (the smoke goes down then up, as opposed to the bowl being on the bottom so the smoke can only go up) -also the high placement of the bowl allowed for the "dry chamber" in the pillar, which gives the smoke a nice taste. -also liked the natty splash guard. it gives more volume and prevents having to put a splash catcher which can increase drag. -the bore of the mouthpiece in the pillar is just right for me, possibly my favorite. those were just some things i observed. everyone who tries the pillar loves it. most of the feedback being about how little drag there is. peace
Nice post. I really like the mouthpiece also. I don't really consider the peyote pillar low drag I feel my triple honeycomb has far less drag. I guess it depends how much water you use.
thank you. and after rereading my post, i didnt mean to imply that the pillar is a low drag piece.. that was just some of the feedback ive gotten from others using it. i was just trying to point out some features in the design that may or may not affect the drag and pull, which imo is very unique in the pillar. and to try to answer your original question about it getting you higher than other pieces,.. i would think it may come from the volume of the pillar (more smoke), due to the unique shape of the natty neck and the high placement of the bowl. peace
Ahh makes sense now thanks for clearing up. Yea I think it just has to do with its such an awesome piece the design lets the user take bigger and longer hits which in turn make you higher!
no problem. regarding your picture, wheres your horn slide? did it not come with one? and i would invest in a mouse pad or cork pad or something like that to set your piece down on. especially with it being a hollow foot. just a thought.

Lmao the slide it came with broke the first day I bought it... Dumb me had it wrapped in a towel and forgot so I grabbed the towel fast and it broke. It wasn't that big of a deal because I prefer my ben Wilson disc slide for more airflow and less drag. Funny you mention the pad, I use a cork drinking pad for my piece.
Thanks, and yea bigger and better makes sense. You don't really realize your taking bigger hits with it either that's why I was confused on how I was getting higher.
You seem like you know a fair share with quality pieces. Do you know if using a carbon filter defeats the purpose of a quality piece like a peyote pillar? The reason I ask is because I never ever see anyone using a carbon filter on a peyote pillar or nice tube. I have been and don't really notice a difference except my piece stays clean. Have you ever noticed carbon filters " ruining" a nice piece. I don't mean ruin, but more so effect the way the bong should function. Thanks! Btw I use high grade non pet store carbon. Mc something virgin coconut carbon.
