Tips of leaves turning brown and crispy

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by fishin6, Apr 6, 2018.

  1. Over the last week I’ve had the tips of a couple of leaves turn brown. There are only about 5 leaves total that it’s happening to and it is on both of my plants (blueberry and northern lights auto feminized). They get dry and crispy like what happens to leaves from a tree in the fall. They were transplanted into a bigger pot using FFOF soil about 3 weeks ago. I haven’t started using any fertilizers yet. I just tested the ph of the water I’m using and it is 6.52. I haven’t tested the runoff yet. Any idea what’s going on?

I’m sorry about the bad pictures. I’ll try to get better ones tomorrow with the lights on.

  4. Watering tomorrow so I’ll test it then. Thanks for the help!

  5. Just seen this. I've got a near identical problem.

  6. I tested the ph and ppm today. Ph of the water was 6.95. Ph of the runoff was 7.0. I know this is too high and I need to bring it down. Is 6.3 good?

The ppm of the spring water that I used was 95. The runoff was 775. The brown tips seem to be going away. What is an appropriate ppm? Should I be testing the water before watering or should I test the runoff.

Btw, these are autoflowers in the second week of flowering. Thanks!!
