Tips for scrogging

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by ra7064, Apr 5, 2018.

  1. Seeing if anyone has any tips they wish they would have known their first time scrogging? I custom built my own to 4 ft x 5.5 ft for a 4ft x 8ft tent.

  2. Looks nice it's easy to custom make one and usually a good idea. You will be able to utilise the space in your tent with this. Be sure to follow he guides on it they say exactly how to do it.

  3. I actually made this one myself. Any good sources on how to train the plants for the scrog and how to place them? I know the general things like slowly bending them and what not just didn’t know if there is an all in one guide somewhere. I’ve looked for videos but can’t seem to find one

  4. Bigger plant in the middle smaller ones on the outside middle. Then start working it tell 70% of the scrog is full. Once you flip the lights to flower continue tucking tell week 2.5 of 12/12

To determine how high to set your net you need to figure in your tents height, pots hieght, the distance you'll want to the light when they are fully grown and how much room you need for equipment at the top of the tent. Just to say 18" between soil and net blindly isn't good advice. That could easily lead to issues. Everyone's grow space is different. I for one could not have 18" between mine in my 6' tall tents, my 5' tall tents would be Completly impossible. I also fill my nets 90- 100% strain dependent, before I flip. There's no set way of doing it. Just have to figure out what works for your space.

  8. Well you only need to check the tent once a day so all you need to do is water and then tuck under any shoots that are long enough to tuck. Simple.

  9. Got it all up and installed. Went ahead and did it at 18 inches like suggested. I felt that was a good height for my needs. I will post more pics once it fills in more! IMG_1086.JPG IMG_1085.JPG IMG_1087.JPG IMG_1090.JPG IMG_1091.JPG
