tiny white bugs in soil. what are they?

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by StickyFingerzz, Nov 1, 2009.

  1. there are tiny white bugs crawling around in the soil. they are a millimeter or less in length. some of them look a little translucent (somewhat transparent).

I also recently noteced a few fungus gnats, but fungus gnat larvae are black, so the white bugs must be something else. They kinda look like lice, could this be it?

Should i use neem oil or is there a better way?

    Thanks!!!

  2. u need beneficial nematodes, they're soil bound predators that feed on eggs and larva of soil pest. Also their extraments are packed with benefitial enzymes and nutrients.

  3. cool that sounds like a good idea. oh and i just looked up what fungus gnat larvae look like and i guess they are white with black heads, so i think thats what the bugs in the soil are
