Tiny bugs in my soil?!

  1. Are these little bastards going to be a problem? They don't seem to be on the plant at all but I have a feeling they're eating the nutrients my gorgeous girl needs..

    Here's a video:

Let me know what they are, and if the fuckers need exterminating, and with what..

  2. Google "springtails".

  3. Springtails indeed. While they wont harm your plant, having that many is usually a sign of overwatering.

  4. let your soil dry out in between waterings. That should take care of it.

  5. Yeah I believe this deals with the issue as my pepper plants no longer have them..

so would that be my problem as well? I seen them in the bucket near the soil and around the edge of the bucket, but havent noticed any on the plant, I watered my plants and 30 min later noticed these little bugs

  7. Yep looks like springtails as well. They like to come out when there's lots of water around.
