Tincture dosing (First time use)

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by Zsd, Jun 2, 2019.

  1. So I made a tincture a few days ago and having been trying to look up dosage with widely different results.

The Tincture I made was 12 grams of moderately strong weed (prob like 15% THC). The end product is about 400mls.

When I look up how much to take I have found some articles that say just a few drops and than others that say the whole dropper full. Is this just a matter of potency? It seems like it would take a long time to absorb the whole dropper full sublingually.

If someone could shed some light on this for me it would be greatly appreciated

1 quart jar of decarbed weed to 750ml of 190-151 proof.

For me a full eyedropper of this shot under my tongue hits in 2-3 minutes and is equivalent to smoking a joint.
Experiment to find how much you need.

  4. I make VERY POTENT TINCTURES usually 180-225 mg/ml. Or 9-12 mg cannabinoids per drop.

I would determine the milligrams in the weed then allow much of the alcohol to evaporate. To the strength desired

  5. So your whole 400ml of tincture has about 1500mg of THC in it. (12/100x15x0.85) It is quite weak. You can make it stronger by evaporating some of the alcohol. Be careful with the fumes.
