Maybe, thats not what you go by though. roots grow out for a variety of reasons. You a have a picture of the plant in its current pot?

I would transplant anyways, it's going to happen one day or another right? Might as well do it before it get's stressed. Also, You don't want to loose those nice roots from too much air!
