This Sunday will be two weeks of veg since the first stem/leaves broke the surface. Have been doing 24/0 light. While I've done a handful of indoor grows, this is my first tent grow. Have never seen this level of engorgement/lush build on a plant before! I'm pretty excited! I'm considering transplanting her into the 5gal felt pot with a 50/50 mix of Happy Frog and Perlite and then switching the lighting over to 18/6. But she's been doing so well in a really short time so maybe keep her at 24/0?? But thoughts on whether it's time to transfer? Thoughts on 18/6 vs. 24/0? Thanks!!
Look great so far. I'm sure she'd appreciated the new root room. This is my first tent grow as well. Enjoying the experience so far.
Yes imo. In the future consider starting them in their forever home? I'm tempted to just drop a seed in the forever home??? That looks like it's gonna be a bushy SOB. Chop sticks helped me untangle a mass of branches.
Thanks! Yes! This is so much easier and more streamlined than how I was doing it before. No need to worry about temp, humidity, light, etc.....the small space is far less effort to control. So you think the roots are hitting bottom already? What about 18/6 vs. 24/0 yet?
I thought about that, but I didn't want to make too many changes to my process after already introducing a new space. I'm confused, what do you mean by chop sticks? Like to stake the branches instead of using a net or are you saying to fish them apart? Thanks!
To just separate the tiny branches IF they get all tangled up with what looks like close internodal spacing. They may grow out fine if left alone???? NOT for training. Chinese chopsticks like you eat with.
Gotta disagree there. Way too much light, just look at how the leaves are curling and have a very pronounced 3d pattern. Plants need rest (dark period). Get the "photone" app for your phone, its free and accurate, you want around 300 ppfd at this stage.

So that engorgement isn't a good thing? Like I said, I've never seen it before on prior grows, but I've also never had prior grows grow near this fast! Not sure about the app and photosynthetic density but do you think flipping her over to 5gal and 18/6 is the way to go? Thanks!
You wouldn't be "flipping her over", you would be transplanting. That plant can go into a 3 or 5 gallon fabric pot at any time now, and yes 18/6.......living organisms need to rest.
I would like to jump into this thread for just one question. What is the expected outcome of 24/0? Reason I ask is I'm running one that I have no choice. I just wanted a plant in my bedroom to brighten things up. There is no way to have good control over the lights. I'm using 24/0 because I know it will go hermi with the lights going on an off all day and night. I can do this because I have an excellent sleep mask that keeps the light out. It would be nice to get something out of this plant even though it is just a house plant and I don't expect to.
You certainly can't leave it in a solo cup. As far as the lights, I'm a newb to auto's but "logically" things need some time off for growth??? Only my 3rd auto run but I've been using 18/6 the whole time??? Maybe I'll try 24/7 for the first week MAYBE 2, with the lights on a lower setting.
Wow! This platform isn't easy with links! Erased my whole post!! In short, transplanted, 18/6, programmed timer. 3-4 weeks until flower since already did 2 weeks in veg. Need a new handheld microscope to tell when the pistils are creamy. Thanks
Just still in a solo cup. It was in my mailbox 12 days ago. It's growing in a bay window. It 4 feet X 1.5. Enough room to hang a T5 or some small grow light, a SROG and a 3 gal pot. Like I said, this is only a room decoration. But it would be nice to get a little taste of it. I don't need it, got plenty. Since this thread was on the same thing I'm doing I just thought I'd ask. I don't want to use up the OP's thread for this though.
Is it an autoflower? Because if it's a photoperiod, it's going to need 12 hours uninterrupted darkness to flower.
In a recent post on another for forum (RIU) one commercial grower said he like his loupe better than his microscope. He said microscope sometimes picks up reflected light and things don't look the same. That hasn't happened with mine, but he said it's worth it to have one.
