Time To Flower Question

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Bud_S_Moker420, Dec 24, 2006.

  1. How do I know when its time to switch my lights to the flowering schedule? Ive heard something about you should do it when the plants are 12-15 inches...but is there any other indicators to know the perfect time when to do it? Is there any other tips anyone could give me that have to do with going from the vegative to flowering stages? (Like, Ive heard to give the plants 24 hours of darkness in between, any other things like that.)

    Thanks

  2. well there is no set time that you have to flower..
it is all up to you.
i have heard of people keeping there plants in veg for years.
or putting them into flower right after they sprout..
it really depends on how much grow room you have..
sart to flower when they are about half the size you want them to end up as..

  3. Oh, cool...thanks

  4. if you have the room and light to let your plant grow bigger then i'd suggest trying to take a few cuttings off of it. let these root then put 1 in to flower, if its a male then bad luck, if its female then keep the big plant (keep topping it) and flower your clones on a bi weekly rota, you'll have an endless supply of weed after 8 weeks, harvesting every other week ;)
