Throat burning for days

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by coldfire101, May 5, 2011.

  1. I smoked weed for the first time and was told to inhale strongly to feel the high so I did and probably swallowed the smoke completely once or twice.

I smoked a few times after that but since the first time my throat is having burning sensation and coughing CONSTANTLY, which is making me worried I damaged something permanently or its a basis for cancer or something else bad..

I also tried the pipe which ofcourse made it worse.

Ive stopped all smoking even cigarettes, til this burning goes but Im still worried... did I mess something up?

  2. Its not from the bud. You got something else going on there.

  3. I have that sometimes. Drink some hot tea with honey in it to make your throat feel better, then try a bong or bubbler so the smoke is less harsh.

Take your time hitting it so that your inhale is steady and you exhale as smoothly as you can. Try not to cough, and have a sip of water if you need it. With a little practice, you should get better at it.

    Now get to practicin!

  4. Smooth,slow,long hits.

  5. Cigarette smoke is much more harsh tasting than cannabis smoke, IMO.

Gargle with some hot water, if you think it's an infection, gargle with salt water and that should clear it up.

You probably don't have cancer. Smoke is an irritant, maybe your shit's just irritated. I'm sure it'll work itself out in a few days.

  6. Amputation is your only option

  7. What did you smoke of first, if it was homemade out of cans or bottles and stuff or if it contained copper then yeah your fucked for a month or two

  8. The smoke aggravated a mild sore throat, how long ago did this happen?cancer doesn't work that way so it can't be that

  9. Pussssaaaayyyyy :D:smoke::smoke:

  10. Yeah my stupidity :p cancer might be an exaggeration though

I just did water+salt and tea+honey, and its alittle relieved...

should I start smoking again right after it heals or should I wait longer? even if its nothing more serious than a sore throat, its not something nice to have it 24/7...

    any advice?

  11. about a week now...

  12. Dude don't worry about cancer. It takes alot longer to grow and develop than a couple days. Or even a couple months. You probably did what a lot of us do our first time. Took a big hit too fast. Happened to me and my throat hurt for forever lol. Just chill man your gonna be fine. If you can breath without wheezing and swallow food your just fine.

Take a small break and next time don't go so fast bro. :smoke:

  13. Totally up to you. If it feels better give it a whirl.:smoke:
