Pic 1 is of the greater concern and I will say that is still nute burn, rarely do bugs go for the jugular of a leaf, see how random the spots are, leaves me with the conclusion that it is white fly issue, and can be expected now the solstice has passed, the bugs are on the war path ...fight them back with Neem Oil its organic and systemic too to my blog: http://forum.grasscity.com/blog/1093/entry-9709-neem-oil/ http://raisedbeds.com/neem-oil-organic-plant-protection/ $16.95
I just gave something called kapow a shot. Looks decent. Also light coat of neem oil and small mist go gnats. Should do the trick I'll post a pic of kapow. Seems to be good stuff.
You should diagnose the problem before you put stuff on the plant. Get a microscope and examine the underside of the leaves.
