Threads keep subscribing me when I don't want to be

    Anyone know what's going on here?

    But I keep getting subscribed to threads I post in and on top of it I am getting automatic e-mail notification when members post in these threads...

    I am not clicking anything to even subscribe let alone get bombed with annoying e-mails....

    This is very annoying.

    And here you go....perfect example...Right after I posted this I went yo my subscribed threads and there this thread was with "instant" email notification whenever someone posts in this thread even though I never clicked "subscribe to this thread"

    Come on now

    Are u using the app? Cuz it automaticly subs you on the app

    Just click on un-subscribe to all threads. Every so often I will have like 60 emails to diff threads I have posted in. Seems like they all come at one time...

    Look around you're user CP. You can turn off emails for sure, I have that done.

    Edit: It took three seconds of looking to find this. User CP-setting and options--edit options-look under messaging and notification.

    I had this problem to, go in User CP Edit options scroll down and there's a option that says instan email notification and switch it to do not suscribe.

    OMG! I had to abandon my e-mail because I was getting so many gc emails. I couldn't figure it out! I just turned it off and checked my inbox, 1752 unread...

    Yup, you need to turn off email notifications like skunky and samash said.

    But if you're already subscribed to some threads, you'll keep getting emails unless you go to your Subscribed Threads folder (under Quick Links or "View All Subscribed Threads" in your User CP), select those threads, and either change the subscription type or unsubscribe from them via the drop down menu at the bottom.

    If you want to subscribe to some threads but not every thread you post in, you can click on "Thread Tools" at the top of a thread and hit "Subscribe to this thread". :)

    Thanks guys I finally found the damn "do not subscribe" button so that I don't subscribe to every thread on post on....

    I have to say that I am currently a member of 17 different online forums, and to have that set as a subscription to ever thread post as a default has to be the dumbest thing I have ever seen.

    Hope this thread can help others.
