  1. Hey. So it’s been a while since I have grown. I have moved to a new country & im planning out my equipment to order now. So my plan is this:
1x 1000W HPS grow light with a 8” inline fan. I will have it in a 5x5 grow tent. And I want to grow one plant in a 19L DWC bucket.. I know the bucket is small but it really has to do. I will constantly keep it filled with nutrient solution. I am going to get advanced nutrients series. I will also be getting quoet a bit of their additives like big bus, voodoo juice, carboload and bud factor X. My plan is to get about 2kg from gorilla glue#4. do you guys think this is attainable? do you think my plant will be able to survive in a 19L DWC bucket? Or am I being completely stupid?
    Any options is greatly appreciated!

  2. Your 5 gallon bucket will be fine. A lot of people use 3 gal buckets.
My opinion is that all those supplements are unnecessary.
Some of us use the 1-part nute Greenleaf megacrop from start to finish.

  3. No don't think you will get 2 KG from 1 plant
I see a problem with the one bucket, how do you plan on changing the water? You have to or you will kill or stunt the plant with saltz buildup.
Another problem, one giant sized rootball will drink it's self dry in less than a day. Thats why we run RDWC, water changing and not running out of water.
I'd run 4 buckets inside the tent with the reservoir outside the tent so to keep the temps down and a chiller.
There with that, and you are a good grower, you will be able to get around 1 GPW.

  4. You see what I mean about the rootball and running out of water now?

  5. I get what you mean. But I can only grow one plant in the tent, and I cannot find any DWC buckets anywhere that is bigger than 20L. I found a 100L, but my air pumps will never cover the entire area at the bottom.. And I was gonna have another bucket in the tent with a water pump slowly pulling the nutrient solution into my DWC bucket, then I clean it out once every 3 days or so

  6. I've got a 5x5 tent, that's what I grow with.
A 600 watt HPS would be fine for 4 plants, a 1000 would be better. But I was getting good on the HPS.
I just converted to QB boards, this is my first grow with them, so IDK yet, so far the plants love em'.
You would be much better off with at least 3 buckets in the tent and a res setting outside it.
Look at my setup and see if you can't duplicate it somewhat to fit your needs.

  7. Thanks so much for the replies & link to your grow. I am gonna use 2 or 3 hydro pots instead.. How much did each of your plants yield? And on average, how much ml of nutrients did each plant use for their entire life? I am going to get 2x advanced nutrients 3 part series, which will give me 2L of each base nutrients.. do u think these will suffice my entire grow? And how much air do you pump into your pots?
Thanks so much for your help

  8. The last cut, I got 27 oz I think. It's all documented at the end of the journal.
I did one run on GH 3 part one quart jars. Had a little of each left over.
I can't tell you how much each plant uses because they are all tied together with the res.
Air, the buckets looks like boiling water and so does the res. Can't have to much air, and it has to run 24/7/365

  9. Thanks. Would running two plants in the same DWC bucket work or isnt it recommended? I am looking at this one: NUTRICULTURE OXYPOT XL - DWC 2 PLANT SYSTEM. If has a 70L res, which will give me about 35L per plant which is a lot more space than the 20L one I was looking at. What are your thoughts on plants sitting in the same res?

And what supplement do you use to keep your res clean? I am either looking at hydroguard or great white

  10. I used to run a homeade setup almost like that. Mine was a rubbermaid tub with 4 holes cut.
    Worked very well
