thoughts on consuming alcohol and cannabis together?

  1. what are your thoughts on drinking alcohol and smoking weed together? my buddy was acting like he was on crack after an intense night doing nothing but beer and weed lol.

  2. Well, alcohol increases blood flow which would allow your body to absorb the thc faster and potentially hit you harder. Was that how he acted? Like a quick hit, or did he stay that way for a while?

I prefer one or the other, however I'm not going for 'trashed' much these days lol.

  4. he was already drunk and 2 of us shared a 1 gram joint of sour diesel and he left humanity after that

  5. The general rule was to stay more high then drunk to avoid the dreaded spins and the resultant puking the spins can bring on.
Smoking a doobie when already drunk usually meant a not so fun time.
Drinking a beer while high was just to wet your whistle and clear the cottonmouth.
Nowadays on the high dose edibles I take I wouldn't even add ANY alcohol into that.

  6. I will never use both at the same time again. It was terrifying. I slipped into a temporary psychosis. I do have mental health issues as well, but the combo isn’t good either way.

    Stay safe, friend!

  7. I indulge. But high tolerance and I try not to go overboard. Never had any problems

  8. When I was a drinker that's what I did. Smoke and then drink just enough to feel it and stay that way all day while working on something out in the shop. I spent a large part of my life doing exactly that. I drank a lot at times but alcohol just never did it for me like other drugs, I guess I enjoy a high different than an alcohol high. Now I haven't had alcohol in years.

  9. At least with me......I started vaping to stop etoh consumption.

  10. It's tricky.

I have had many good times, where I have been able to smoke a couple of joints and enjoy multiple cups of jack and coke simultaneously - not feeling too drunk nor too high, simply balanced?

Other times, simply a glass of wine before hand, or drinking a pint of beer can really make me feel sick: the spins, the nausea, the puking and off to bed I go.

  11. If I drink all day then smoke im just a more quiet version of drunk me.

  12. Its good.

Having a high tolerance I find that having a drink lowers it.

But more times I'm too lazy to keep both buzzes going.

  13. If u notice that it's not a good mix than I suggest nixing the booze!! When I drank I never thought about other drugs because I can digest half of Chernobyl and still be rolling

  16. I used to do it quite often when I first started smoking and didn't know better.

  17. my experience is that it is more of an intence buzz.
the two offset each other, for me anyways. but I don't over do it

but the number one most most important thing is to consume less of each and in a more controlled way and let the effects gradually crept up on you as vs hit you head on. know how much your hitting and don't do alot
not a good buzz if u consume to much of each and everything just spins

  18. I was a borderline alkie 5 years ago before my 1st hip replacement and before starting to use Cannabis. Drank my self to sleep almost every night because that was the only way I ever got any sleep. Now it's just 1 nightcap before bed. Knocks me out cold if I'm already high.

There are new alcohol use studies starting to pop up showing it's really no good at all, and in fact actually bad for you in any amount. Years ago it was claimed moderate alcohol consumption was a heart healthy thing, helping to control cholesterol, among other now de-bunked claims. In hindsight I would not be surprised to see those earlier studies were funded by the liquor and beer industries.

  19. When I first started smoking I wouldn't have dared smoke after drinking following a couple of awful whiteys.

Smoke then drink and I wouldn't be able to get drunk.

Now I'm an everyday smoker and find if I'm drinking I want a jay to keep my head straight and boost the alcohol buzz. Beautiful combo.

However I would not recommend it to people with a low tolerance to either, recipe for a horrendous night.

  20. I still have a couple brews left from the same 12-pack of beer in my fridge I got for the holidays. But that ounce of weed over the same time span is long gone...:yummy:

Staying physically fit with a good cardio exercise and dank weed every day is not that difficult. 6-pack abs and mental health will show itself when you dont buy into corporate lies and instead do your own due diligence.
