Thoughts From A Stoner

  1. Why Does it seem like we are all Jailed? I mean like as kids we were prety much forced to go to school for our entire childhood ...to serve what??...well to get a good job and be successfull in life....But then when we get a Job we work day in and day out to make some money for when you retire or ur family or w/e

what Im trying to say is it seems like we are always working for something in the future But we fail to enjoy the present. I mean everyday im worried about something going on in the future and i get all stressed out...Sometimes I wish i could be a bird or an animal with no boundaries.. everybody should be equal, there should be no one better as we all have the same Organs and none of us ahve amazing powers or anything . Why cant we live life the way WE want to? not waht Society Expects.

  2. I totally understand you, sometimes u feel like u gotta get the fuck away...and thats why I smoke weed...just to fly away.....you just gotta find something you really love. You gotta find that passion in life....thats what I think, anyways...

  3. Ahhh Grasshopper, such is the duality of life...one must strive to be both true to one's self and in harmony with one's surroundings...

in other words, do your own thing, but do it in a way that won't get you hassled, busted or locked-up. ;)

  4. OMG i think about that shit all the fucking time! like when your in skool their like " when u get into jr. high, blah blah blah" "when u get into high skool blah blah blah" when u get into college blah blah blah"

  5. just deleted a huge long post.

damn it was a good one too.... oh well.

  6. yeah man, fuck 9-5. fuck being another cog trapped in the system. call that freedom?
    :p

  7. working a regular job every weekday till i retire (if i live that long :) ) *NEVER*

find a passion and live it. you might even make some money if you're practical and/or smart about it.

    rotting in an office, really...

  8. I think that the question is how do you either:
    1. make the system work for you, or
    2. work on the edge of the system

The inescapable fact being that we need some kind of "system" be it your local flavor of democracy or whatever you've got. No getting 'round that, otherwise its anarchy, which sucks worse than just about any system ever devised. Look at Iraq these days, the poor people there have been f*cked & slaughtered & repressed by Saddam for so long, but without order, even they were saying that some things were better with the Bath Party in power, and it isn't only that they want the US out.

I'm just trying to say that you can free yourselves within the system if you figure it out well enough...if you live in a city, grow just enough without drawing attention to yourself, or live in an area that's more cool, you can be a little bit more open about your smoking...run your own business or at least work for yourself if you don't want the 9 to 5...its all out there for you...first visualize the person you want to be, and then lay out the steps it'll take to get there...sometimes its a lot of work, but nobody is going to hand your dreams over to you...you've got to go out and make them happen

    PEACE

  9. ^^^^exactly

  10. society wants us to believe in it so its the most distracting way to life, always in the future, and living blurred in the presesnt. It's keeping us distracted and confused.

  11. If they don't put you down when your young....
How will they ever keep you there....

  12. I think about this a lot, were all born into a system where you constantly have to work, none of us choose to be here either. Ah well you just gotta do what you love, sounds cliche but it works. I know a couple of people who have a real "the worlds my oyster" mentality and they're the happiest people I've met. For example one of them just managed to convince her boss to let her have 3 months off over the summer to go travelling. Sent

  13. And if you think outside the norm, you're considered a radical who can't conform to this shitty way of life.....

  14. Join a gang and do whatever the fuck you want and make hella money selling drugs. Hopefully you'll become the biggest, richest drug lord ever  :)

  15. If you're suggesting we should all just kick back all day getting high while everything is handed to us...

  16. I think a lot of my friends downfalls are a weak understanding of money managment. Especially the power of compound interest. I feel with really grasping this concept anyone can really put themselves into a position of minimal financial risk in the future. Most importantly. Be free to do as you please because of your self discipline to not buy bs materialistic items. That have no significance in the big picture of your goals in life. Every time I do this. I feel it slows my progression directly and instantly in my mind. I've been doing my personal budget month to month in my phone then I convert it to a spread sheet pie graph to see where I'm weak and where can I improve. Very helpful to keep your goals closer and your bad habits forgotten in no time. Earths just a big ball of Plato

  17. no, but i think there's a better way to live

  18. Interesting thread.Recently in my life I have spent a massive amount of time and effort just thinking about this sort of thing.I have a strange mind and a crazy imagination. Im one of the most rebellious people but only in thought. I have rebelled in thought to everything that has ever came into my mind.I went off the rails when i was in my teens. Dropped out of school when i was like 14, started drinking a lot and being a total menace. When i finally calmed down after running myself into the ground with drink, left crippled with anxiety, I had a lot.of free time on my hands and I just stopped drink with one thought and started to think.I thought about everything in my life, the world and the space etcI now think about the world in 4 dimensions.1. My life and the people around me.2. My country and town and all the people in my country.3. The whole world and all the countries and everyone in them.4. The vastness of space, the planets and all that stuff. After thinking about these 4 dimensions for a long time and about life and education and social stuff, like the unwritten social laws and the way the world works and everything, it was easy for me to see that the system is great for the human race as a whole.Think about how the world ticks over day to day and all the stuff that gets done! Its absolutely mind bending to think about the amount of good productive things that happen in the world every day, like people getting help from doctors, who work 9 to 5, or people in the army, helping people in war torn countries, or what about all the things we have?Supermarkets, internet servers, petrol stations etcEverything in the world needs people to run it. Next time the bin man comes, dont look at him and think, "my mum told me to work hard at school or id end up like him, taking out the bins!" Remember that man has to fill a role, if he didnt do it, nobody would. The real beauty of the system isnt the fact that it works extremely well, its the fact that those who arent born to be in the system, are able to find their way out.Sent from my GT-N7000 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

  20.
Why does anarchy suck worse than the system we are currently in?  Is it not true freedom?
