Hey all, Just wanted to get your thought on a machine used to speed up the drying process like these.. https://myherbsnow.com Basically this unit claims to dry your buds "perfectly" in 96 hours or potentially even less. Anyone use this or have any insight on why it may be good/bad?
Looks like an overhyped food dehydrator with the temperature set to 75 lol. The reason you're going to want to dry your buds slower, is because while your buds are drying, they're still alive pretty much to the point to where they lose all their moisture. The theory behind slow drying is that there are unused starches and sugars in the buds, a slow dry allows adequate time for the buds to "use up" those harsh starches in the bud, leaving you with a smooth smoke. If your buds dry too fast, they won't have enough time to process the sugars before they die. It's entirely preference though I suppose. I just smoked a bowl of microwaved popcorn nugs
96 hours drying time and above 70F...? thats 3 and a half my drying time as I go 14 days(336h) at above 70F at 14 days I get a free Cure too ...lol I hope you make billions but not with this idea ...lol good luck
The commercial industry has tried everything to dry their overfed, low Brix Cannabis into a recognizable Cannabis product. The only solution that fits the commercial model? Lower your prices and find a new target market who will smoke poop. Tldr: There are no shortcuts. The creation of a strains flavors and effects takes time. 2 weeks dry 4 month cure. If someone tells you differently, they are selling mids.
