Most websites that have enough publicity might get offered to put advertisements on their sites. Marketing is HUGE to big business, so they spend alot of money on making the general public sees what they want them to see. They do this mostly through the TV, but you can see ALOT of advertising over the internet.

If you go to say, Youtube, and you see an advertisement before the video you wanted to watch, two things are true; someone payed alot of money to have that advertisement on the video you were about to watch, and someone MADE alot of money by having that advertisement on the video you were about to watch. Youtube will take a cut from advertisement money, but so will the person who uploaded the video. People who make alot of videos on Youtube and ask for people to subscribe and such are most likely making money off of the number of views on their combined videos as well as the amount of subscribers to their channel.

Youtube isn't the only website that does this, there are smaller advertisements on other websites, such as some wiki sites and other privately owned websites. Porn Sites are obviously littered with advertisements, the owners of Youporn, Redtube, Slutload, etc. are probably ROLLING in advertisement money.

Thats basically the way to make money over the internet using advertisements, however, there are obviously other ways, Grasscity makes money as an online retailer, as do places like Amazon. Ebay makes money as just a hosting company, they allow for people to find things they want. Car companies such as Vehix also do this, all they provide is a way for consumer to meet the seller and they take a small portion. Housing listings also provide for this same opportunity.

Also, take notice that Amazon and Ebay in the above paragraph are hyperlinked, as they should also be in this sentence. When you scroll over the link, Grasscity tells us that the link was added by "VigLink." VigLink is not a user on this forum, it is a website that makes money by linking our sites to eachother through hyperlinks. When a user goes on a forum or a blog that uses VigLink, and this site mentions a product, like a video game or electronic hardware, there will automatically be a link to an online retailer that carries that product. If the user who visited the original site buys an item off the online retailer, the original website (the blog or the forum) will receive a portion of that sale. VigLink is paid by the online retailers who use VigLink as a way to get more people to visit their sites. This is evident in this post when VigLink just tried to link you, the reader of this post, to Amazon and Ebay. Both of these websites payed VigLink, and now the owner of VigLink just made a profit. If you so happen to go to either of the sites that are linked above through this post and make a purchase, Grasscity will also make a profit off that sale.

Yeah, there's alot of ways to make money on the internet.

    THIS lol

  19. There's many, many other ways to make money on the internet. Ads and buying/selling e-products are just 2 of the main ways.

  20. A lot of odd jobs, that's really where it's at. Off the grid and always get paid in cash.
